Assessment of corruption risks in the passenger transport sector
Project goal
Ensure transparency and increase the effectiveness of state supervision in the sector of passenger road transport to eliminate corruption risks and create comfortable conditions for carriers and passengers, including for the return of Ukrainian refugees home.
Project objectives
- Examine the regulatory framework for raid inspections by the State Service for Transport Safety.
- Identify major weaknesses and corruption risks in the current system of raid inspections.
- Analyse the practice of raid inspections through a study of court appeals, surveys and in-depth interviews with carriers and other stakeholders.
- Develop recommendations to improve the process of raid inspections aimed at eliminating corrupt practices and increasing transparency.

- Conducting surveys and interviews
- Development of recommendations based on the collected data and analysis
This project contributes to the creation of a transparent and fair system of state supervision in the field of passenger road transport, which is especially important in the context of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
