The last plenary week of the Verkhovna Rada's work has passed, and MPs have already gone on holiday
This year has been a productive one for parliamentarians, with around 1,500 bills registered in the Rada and 253 laws passed.
Given that UAH 3 billion 995 million was allocated to finance the Verkhovna Rada in 2021, each law cost us about UAH 16 million. But this is not the final amount, because we will have to continue paying for corrupt laws. The Institute of Legislative Ideas has summed up the work of the Parliament this year.
Despite the complex procedure that bills undergo before becoming laws, some still have corruption holes in them.
