Documenting war damage to non-residential property: ILI invites you to a training
How can individuals properly document war-related damage to their non-residential property? Garages, cellars, summer kitchens, outbuildings, and other non-residential properties owned by individuals are often overlooked by existing compensation mechanisms.
At the same time, proper documentation of damage is the foundation for protecting the rights of those affected and securing future compensation.
On 28 July, the Institute of Legislative Ideas (ILI), with the participation of experts from the "Return Yours" project and with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation, will hold an online training for professionals from human rights organizations on documenting damage to individuals' non-residential property.
During the training, participants will:
- learn about the key stages of documenting damage to non-residential property owned by individuals;
- explore how to properly carry out the initial documentation of damage immediately after an incident;
- understand how to submit an information notice regarding damaged or destroyed property;
- discuss the inspection process, preparation of the inspection report, and entry of information into the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property;
- review the process of damage assessment and expert evaluation;
- examine the challenges related to registering ownership rights to non-residential property.
