Category ‘Damage or destruction of non-residential real estate’
As a result of Russian aggression, thousands of Ukrainians have lost their non-residential property: offices, warehouses, shops, and other facilities. These buildings have suffered significant damage, often irreparable, due to hostilities and shelling.
Owners of non-residential property will soon be able to apply to the International Register of Damage to record the damage to their buildings and future compensation. To do so, they will need to confirm their ownership and provide evidence of damage or destruction (photos, videos, expert assessments, etc.).
Although no compensation payments have been made yet, applying to the Register is an important first step toward recognizing losses and receiving compensation in the future. The IMI has developed detailed guidelines to help families navigate this complex process and submit their applications.
