Taras Ryabchenko, lawyer and analyst at the ILI, spoke on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel about the causes and consequences of Russia's appropriation of Ukrainian assets in Crimea

"The reason may be a response to Ukraine's actions: we have nationalised some of the Russian property, while at the same time private assets of Russian oligarchs and war collaborators are being confiscated. Some of this property is in Crimea," the expert said.

According to him, the decisions of the occupation authorities of the peninsula or the Russian Federation have no legal force

"For Ukraine, these are legally null and void decisions. They have no legal consequences for us," said Taras Ryabchenko.
