The first meeting of the newly created Integrity Council of Ukrtranssafety, an independent advisory body of the Service, which includes representatives of 10 NGOs, was held
The Council's task is to change inefficient and corrupt practices and ensure transparency and accountability of Ukrtranssafety's activities.
During the meeting, the Council's leadership was elected: Andrii Klymosiuk, the Head of the ILI projects, became the Chairman, and Mykhailo Serebriakov, the Executive Director of the NGO ‘Together Against Corruption’, was elected as the Deputy Chairman.
At the meeting, the Council members also discussed key tasks for the future, among which the priority is to identify inefficient and corrupt practices and implement effective mechanisms to eliminate them. The Council will start its work by analysing legislative initiatives being considered by the Parliament and the relevant Ministry to ensure their effectiveness.
