On the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, we remember not only the fear and confusion but also how we fought and worked to speed up our victory

During these 365 days, we:

🔴 Started helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Ukrainians from the first days of the war. We have delivered over 500 tonnes of humanitarian aid to our soldiers, medics, hospitals, and frontline cities.

🔴 We have taken on new directions - the confiscation of Russian assets and corruption-free reconstruction, which will be key for Ukraine in the next 10 years.

🔴 We conducted more than 10 analytical studies and presented our positions and developments at the global level at conferences in Lugano and Washington.

🔴 We joined the board of the Rise.UA coalition and became members of governmental working groups and analytical groups.

In the field of confiscation:

🔴 We studied the available mechanisms for confiscating Russian assets, analyzed international and Ukrainian legislation and models of confiscation of sovereign and private assets of Russians, and their advantages and disadvantages. We presented them with 9 analytical products. We presented them both within Ukrainian and foreign working groups (the European Union's Freeze and Seize sanctions working group).

🔴 We develop recommendations for Ukrainian government authorities and foreign institutions. The High Anti-Corruption Court has already taken into account the recommendations of the IPI when making decisions on confiscation.

🔴 Soon we will present the Confiscation Track, an interactive website that displays up-to-date information on the amounts, legislation, court decisions, and political positions of countries on the confiscation of Russian assets.

🔴 We are coordinating a working group within the International Council of Experts under the Prosecutor General's Office and developing a State Policy Strategy for the Confiscation of Assets of the Aggressor State and Persons Contributing to Aggression against Ukraine.

In the area of reconstruction:

🔴 We are working on the reconstruction that is needed now and that will take place after the victory. To do this, we help raise funds for reconstruction, guaranteeing international partners that they will be used transparently and efficiently - we are working on effective mechanisms and eliminating risks.

🔴 We stopped initiatives that did not contribute to the transparency and accountability of reconstruction.

🔴 We proposed mechanisms to mitigate risks in the reconstruction, influenced legislative initiatives, and contributed to the introduction of key provisions in the regulations to ensure accountable use of funds for the reconstruction of property and infrastructure.

In the area of anti-corruption and legislation:

🔴 As part of our activities in the Public Council under the NAPC, we advocated for the adoption of the State Anti-Corruption Strategy, taking into account the position of the IMI and the public.

🔴 We conducted anti-corruption expertise on 487 draft laws and, even during martial law, in cooperation with our partners, managed to eliminate the identified corruption risks. Our findings were taken into account by the Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy.

🔴 We continued monitoring Ukraine's implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption even during the war.

🔴 We started advocating for police reform, amendments to the draft law on public-private partnerships, and real benefits for war veterans and families of defenders.

🔴 We initiated the competition for the head of the National Police and the reboot of the police.

We are grateful to the Armed Forces, volunteers, our donors - the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative, the Renaissance Foundation, and all those without whom all this would not have been possible. We continue to fight and work for Ukraine. Together to victory!
