The first confiscated yacht of a Russian oligarch against whom sanctions were previously imposed was sold at auction in Gibraltar.

This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to journalists, the five-deck, 72-metre Axioma yacht once belonged to billionaire Dmitry Pumpyansky.

The cost of bids and information about the auction winner are still confidential. After the transaction is completed, information about the sale will be published in about two weeks.

According to Hromadske, Pumpyansky was sanctioned by the European Union on 10 March, and five days later by the UK, which estimated his wealth at $2.1 billion.

The reason was that he owned a stake in TMK, which is the largest pipe manufacturer in Russia. And these products were used by Gazprom for the construction of Nord Stream 2.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Justice filed the first lawsuit with the HACC to confiscate the property of Russian oligarch Vladimir Yevtushenkov.
