The factories producing Kalibr missiles, Tornado, Grad, Smerch and Strela-10 missile systems, which Russia uses in the war, are still not under sanctions in Ukraine.
This is reported by the Trap Aggressor group of analysts who monitor the sanctions imposed against Russia, citing the NACP register.
These are companies that have been sanctioned in the US, EU and UK. In particular:
- Novator Research Design Bureau JSC (manufacturer of Kalibr missiles). Although in the US, this company is on the list of companies that are denied exports.
- CJSC Special Design Bureau (manufacturer of Tornado, Grad, Smerch, Nona-SVK and Hosta MLRS);
- JSC Nudelman Precision Engineering Design Bureau(manufacturer of the Strela-10 airdefence system);
- JSC ‘Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant “Kupol” (manufacturer of the “Tor” air defence system);
- Impulse Group LLC (the parent company of Arzamas Machine-Building Plant JSC, which produces armoured vehicles BTR-82, Tiger, Tiger-M, BREM-K);
- JSC Vityaz Machine-Building Company (manufacturer of DT-30 Vityaz armoured vehicles);
- CJSC Zavolzhsky Plant of Caterpillar Tractors (manufacturer of GAZ-3344-20 Aleut armoured vehicles);
- RS Leasing JSC (the parent company of Izhevsk Unmanned Systems Research and Production Association LLC, which produces Takhion UAVs);
- Enix CJSC (manufacturer of the Eleron UAV);
- Vostochnaya Verf JSC (produces Project 11770 landing craft);
- Central Research Institute Burevestnik JSC (manufacturer of 120 mm mortars);
- JSC Research and Production Association Russian Basic Information Technologies (manufacturer of APE-5 command posts);
- Ego-Holding Holding Company LLC (the parent company of Protek Research and Development Enterprise JSC, which produces the R-330Zh Zhitel radar);
- PJSC Research and Production Association ‘Arrow’ (manufacturer of radars ‘SNAR-10m1’, ‘Zoo-1M’);
- Ural Automobile Plant JSC (produces trucks and jeeps);
- Bryansk Automobile Plant JSC (manufacturer of chassis for Tor and Buk air defence systems).
"Among the companies that have not been subject to Western sanctions is the Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant, which produces Rutat BM radars. Instead, on 14 May 2020, Ukraine imposed sanctions against it for a period of 3 years," the report said.
The analysts noted that Trap Aggressor managed to identify 69 Russian companies directly involved in the production of equipment destroyed in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
As a reminder, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption recently identified 1,413 executives and owners of companies that have not yet been sanctioned and proposed to include them in the US sanctions lists.
