President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted the decision of the National Security and Defence Council ‘On the Application and Amendments to Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)’ by Decree No. 694/2022.
According to the NSDC decision, the sanctions will be applied to Viktor Yanukovych, businessman Serhiy Kurchenko, Pavel Lebedev, Minister of Defence under Yanukovych, and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
The presidential decree states that NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov is to oversee its implementation.
The sanctions provide for the blocking of assets, namely the temporary deprivation of the right to use and dispose of assets belonging to these individuals, as well as assets in respect of which they can directly or indirectly (through other individuals or legal entities) perform actions identical in content to the right to dispose of them.
These sanctions are valid for 10 years.
