Recently, foreign countries have begun to impose new sanctions on Russia
New Zealand will impose financial sanctions on 19 new "members of Putin's inner circle ’. This was reported by Ekonomichna Pravda.
In total, the sanctions imposed by New Zealand on Russia already affect about 1000 people.
On 26 September, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly announced the introduction of 92 sanctions in response to the sham referendums held by Russia in the occupied territories.
The sanctions lists include 33 officials and collaborators in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine, including the head of the ‘government of Kherson’ Sergey Eliseev, the ‘minister of education and science of the LPR’ Ivan Kusov, the head of the ‘government of Zaporizhzhia’ Yevgeny Balitsky and the deputy head of the ‘DPR’ Yevgeny Solntsev.
The sanctions were also imposed on IMA Consulting, which is called ‘Putin's favourite PR agency’. It was this company that led the promotion of the fake referendums.
In addition, 23 members of the Board of Directors and Management Board of Gazprombank, 16 members of the Supervisory Board and Management Board of Sberbank and its management, and 10 executives of Sovcombank were included in the lists.
According to the British government, London has imposed sanctions on more than 1,200 individuals and more than 120 legal entities from Russia. The list includes more than 120 oligarchs with a combined global net worth of more than £130 billion.
Earlier, Japan imposed sanctions on 21 Russian organisations. The country also banned the export of goods and materials related to chemical weapons to Russia.
In particular, the sanctions include the 46th Central Research Institute of the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Alikhanov Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Centre, PJSC Arzamas Research and Production Enterprise Temp-Avia, and LLC Automated System of Bidding for State Defence Orders.
As a reminder, the US Department of Justice plans to step up its efforts to trace and confiscate assets linked to the Russian Federation.
