Finland has confiscated the assets of Russians under EU sanctions worth almost €189 million.

This is reported by Yle.

According to journalists, the confiscation affected both individuals and organisations included in the EU sanctions list because of Russia's aggression.

The publication reports that the Russians have lost a large number of shares and funds held in their accounts. Real estate, industrial raw materials and vehicles were also confiscated.

The Finnish Debt Recovery Office did not comment on specific cases.
