At a meeting on Thursday chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions on certain individuals and legal entities. This was reported by the NSDC press service.
‘The sanctions were imposed on 6 individuals and 24 legal entities involved in the illegal construction and operation of the railway part of the Kerch Strait crossing, the organisation of passenger rail links between the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and the territory of the Russian Federation, and damage to the national cultural heritage in the city of Sevastopol,’ the statement said.
The NSDC added that the sanctions list also includes 18 individuals involved in the issuance of unjust court decisions on the alienation of property of the Crimean Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
‘Sanctions were also imposed on 52 individuals who, holding senior positions in the structure of the Russian occupation administration in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, cause significant damage to the national interests and security of the Ukrainian people,’ the agency's website said.
