A large-scale Anti-Corruption Camp from UNDP in Ukraine, co-organized by the Institute of Legislative Ideas, has come to an end
The Institute was responsible for the day of alternative anti-corruption instruments to criminal ones. What are we talking about? Civil confiscation of unjustified assets without the use of lengthy criminal procedures. This is how 1.2 million was confiscated from the traitorous ex-deputy Kiva.
As part of the day, the head of the Institute, Tetiana Khutor, gave a
a lecture ‘Confiscation of Illegal Assets: What it is and how the world and Ukraine came to this’;
training ‘(Not) confiscating (un)justified assets of an official’;
a discussion in the form of moral dilemmas on the confiscation of assets from members of the Verkhovna Rada.
The goal of the event was to motivate young people to fight corruption, empower them, and improve their skills in preventing and combating corruption.
During the five-day camp, 40 law students from various universities, including those displaced from the active hostilities zone, participated in presentations, workshops, discussions, and quests.
The Anti-Corruption Camp is organized by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine, the Foundation for Institutional Development, and the Institute of Legislative Ideas with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine under the UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme, with financial support from the European Union.
