The rating of all people’s deputies who are the authors of draft laws with corruption-causing factors

About the project:

Systematic informing the public, particularly voters, about people's deputies who systematically register bills with corruption-causing factors in the Verkhovna Rada.

During the two years of the Verkhovna Rada's performance, our team analyzed more than 2000 bills, 257 of which contained corruption-causing factors. It means that the norms of those bills alone, or in combination with other norms, can create opportunities for corrupt actions in real life.
This project helps to attract the attention of voters, who need to know how the deputies they voted for performing their law-making function, and the parliamentarians should pay attention to what bills they sign and vote for.

Duration:
June 2021 and to date (systematic monthly information)
Results:

The rating of all people's deputies who are the authors of draft laws with corruption-causing factors for two years of the activity of the Verkhovna Rada is presented.
In addition, the rating, covering all MPs, is grouped by the criteria as follows:
- TOP-10 law-drafters who submitted the largest number of draft laws containing corruption-causing factors (in number and percentage).
- rating of the parliamentary fractions whose representatives submit the largest number of draft laws containing corruption-causing factors.
- examples of draft laws with corruption-causing factors and spheres where they are most common.
- Deputies who did NOT submit any draft law containing corruption-causing factors.
On September 21, 2021, the "Rating of authors of draft laws with Corruption Risks for the 5th Session of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th Convocation" was presented.
We thank the media for their attention to the topic and for informing us about the project results. In the first week after the presentation, we received more than 50 references in the media and had the opportunity to talk about the importance of anti-corruption expertise.
